Kenya 2018 - Disaster Preparedness, First Aid/CPR/Snake Bite, Entrepreneurship/Leadership Skills
Fred Breedlove, Deborah Breedlove, & Krissy Brouner, representing Mountain View Community Church, were invited by World Impact Network (WIN) to join their team to serve in Kenya in November 2018 to teach entrepreneurship skills, First Aid/CPR, and Disaster Preparedness. The mission team, led by Gabriella Van Breda and Peter Van Breda (Bellevue Foursquare Church / WIN also included Kele Holt, Laura Davenport-Silva, Aimee Coombs, and Pam Hoelzle.
A highlight of the trip was seeing a young girl of 12 whom Fred had met in 2013 when she (then age 7) had a terrible foot/leg infection which needed immediate medical attention. Now healed, Grace is able to resume normal daily activities (see "Grace's Story" under the dropdown "KENYA" & KENYA 2018" above).
Another hightlight of this trip was that one of Fred's students, Alice, was able to use her newly learned First Aid skills to save her sister's life on the very next morning after completing the class (see "Alice's Story" under the dropdown "KENYA" & "KENYA 2018" above).
